Your hot rocks, Your colors, Your salt,
Your naked nights, Your seashells, Your tomatoes, Your loves,
And your melted ice creams,
All of this and so much more is what I like about you.
This year I felt your sun so close, so strong that I got scared. As if the air was on re.
Sometimes I didn’t like you anymore but at the same time I missed you. It was a strange feeling.
I think it’s not going away.

In spanish, «huellas» means footprint, traces. «Huellas» is a project about the construction of a family memory. For 12 years (1973-1985), Uruguay suffered through a military dictatorship. A part of my family sought exile in France. Gradually, everybody returned, except for my father. Now, it is time for me to come back to the traces of my history and my identity.
